The overall goal of the program is to assist youth in our community to achieve stable and prosperous livelihoods for generations to come through social, legal, and career assistance to transition into a stable and well-adapted life within the U.S. Through these services, our youth find new vocational abilities, self-esteem, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteers who share a passion for empowering immigrant, at-risk, and low income youth serve an irreplaceable value in making this mission a reality. As a mentor, you can provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help these young people reach their full potential. We believe knowledge is power, by volunteering your skills and wealth of knowledge, you can help create a safe and supportive environment that encourages creativity, cultural exchange, and personal growth. Your involvement can make a lasting impact on the lives of these young people, and contribute to the CHAYNGE the current system needs.

Provide Legal Services

Provide pro bono representation and legal consultation to CHAYNGE youth in need.

Lead a Workshop

Lead a dance, music, art, film, photography, or another creative workshop.

Share Your Story

Share your experience as a musician or your artist to inspire your minds.

Provide Tutoring

Provide extra academic support for students in subjects like math, history, and literature.

Restoration Project

Restoration Project.

Are you someone who loves to work with their hands and see the direct results of your efforts? Our youth center is in need of volunteers to assist with gardening, painting, and construction projects to keep the space clean, beautiful, and functional for the youth we serve.

Built in 1901, CHAYNGE was designed by renowned architect John Parkinson, designer of the Los Angeles Coliseum, Los Angeles City Hall, and the Union Station, the 10,000-square-foot Gothic mansion is an architectural masterpiece. CHAYNGE is often renovated however, with all historic buildings, it requires constant maintenance and upkeep to preserve its historic integrity.

Painting and Landscaping

Do you have a natural green thumb? Help provide a comfortable space for our youth to learn, grow, and thrive.

Construction and Carpentry

Do you have restoration experience or are you a contractor? If you are licensed, we would love to have your assistance.

Plumbing and Electrical

Are you looking to give back to your community? We're looking for licensed plumber and electricians to help out at CHAYNGE.
